Candam develops innovative solutions that encourage people to recycle and verify that the separation of materials has been carried out correctly. Through the use of artificial intelligence, Candam Technologies detects the packaging deposited inside the containers and rewards users with better recycling practices
The company has implemented the largest container sensorisation project in Europe in the Community of Madrid and has carried out several international projects.
Candam, with the support of Suma, wants to diversify its business lines and offer recycling solutions through various channels. Thus, in addition to offering technology for waste containers, the company has implemented new reverse vending equipment in those places where citizens also benefit from recycling their waste, such as shops, petrol stations and tourist accommodation.
Candam’s positive environmental impact aims to improve sustainability, achieve smart cities and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by improving glass and light packaging recovery rates. In addition, unnecessary incineration of products that have not been recycled correctly is avoided. On the other hand, the sensorisation of containers allows collection routes to be optimised and, therefore, vehicle fuel savings.
