uma Capital, a leading alternative asset manager specialising in sustainability and impact, has once again received the top 5-star rating from the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI) for the sixth consecutive year. This recognition highlights the performance of its three strategies, SC Infra, SC Expansion and SC Venture, and reinforces the strength of the firm’s sustainability model.
In the 2025 assessment, Suma Capital achieved the highest score across the following modules: Governance, Policy & Strategy; Private Equity; and Infrastructure. Enrique Tombas, Chairman of Suma Capital, stated: “Receiving this rating once again motivates us to continue strengthening our processes and advancing consistently towards ever more responsible and transparent management. For us, it is a matter of responsibility towards our investors, our portfolio companies, and society”.
The Principles for Responsible Investment bring together the world’s leading investors to promote a more sustainable financial system. The UN PRI encourage signatories to integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into investment processes and asset management, fostering transparency, accountability and collaboration across the sector.
Sustainability at Suma Capital is led by the Sustainability Committee, which reports directly to the Board of Directors. Among its responsibilities, the Committee oversees the implementation of the Responsible Investment Policy across the three strategies (SC Infra, SC Expansion and SC Venture) and ensures that teams and vehicles are aligned with the highest standards. It also promotes transparency and accountability with investors and stakeholders, and drives training and capacity-building in sustainability, impact and climate change.
