ECOcero is a Spanish company specialising in acoustic solutions for interior spaces. Founded in Alicante in 2017, it designs and manufactures sound-absorbing ceiling and wall panels, acoustic elements and designer collections at its facility in San Vicente del Raspeig, using recycled PET from plastic bottles. Its solutions are installed in offices, universities, airports, hotels, restaurants and other corporate and institutional settings.
The company brings together acoustics, design and materials innovation, developing collections with designers and studios such as Lázaro Rosa-Violán, Masquespacio and The Room Studio. Led by its founder and CEO, Jorge Bellido, ECOcero operates in 20 countries and generates 40% of its revenue in international markets, with a track record of sustained growth.
ECOcero is the first investment of SC Sustainable Expansion Fund III, the fund within Suma Capital’s SC Expansion strategy. Our investment supports a new phase of growth built on three priorities: international expansion, organisational strengthening and the continued development of its product offering.
We work alongside the founding team to strengthen governance, processes and operational capabilities, so that the company can grow consistently in new markets and embed operational efficiency and responsible resource use as long-term drivers of competitiveness.
ECOcero places circularity at the core of its product: its panels are made from recycled PET sourced from plastic bottles, giving a second life to a high-volume consumer waste stream and replacing virgin raw material with recycled content. According to the company, each square metre of material is equivalent to around 75 recycled bottles.
At the same time, acoustic conditioning improves comfort and well-being in workplaces, learning environments and public spaces, where controlling noise and reverberation is key to concentration and communication. Its activity therefore links the circular economy with the quality of interior spaces.
