Aridditive is an industrial startup based in Barcelona, pioneering the use of proprietary 3D concrete printing technology to revolutionise the construction sector through more efficient, digitalised and sustainable methods.
Founded in 2023 as a spin-off from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Aridditive has developed ISCEX (Instant Setting Concrete EXtrusion), a patented extrusion system that enables the production of concrete elements without the need for formwork, reducing cement use by 50–70 % compared to conventional approaches. It also integrates TRACE, a digital platform that ensures full traceability of the manufacturing process in real time.
The company provides both on-demand 3D printing services and develops large-scale industrial printers for construction firms, architects and innovation centres.
Through SC Venture, Suma Capital is supporting Aridditive’s industrial scale-up, the go-to-market strategy for its Volta printers and the consolidation of its new production and innovation hub: the Aridditive Technology & Innovation Center (ATIC).
Our investment enables the company to strengthen its technical team, accelerate manufacturing and advance pilot projects across Europe and the Americas. The objective: to foster a cleaner, more efficient and digitally connected construction model.
Aridditive helps decarbonise the construction industry — one of the world’s highest-emitting sectors — by eliminating material- and energy-intensive processes, reducing cement usage and enabling near-site, just-in-time manufacturing.
Its technology promotes full process traceability, opens new possibilities in architectural design, and optimises resource use throughout the value chain. Aridditive’s contribution is aligned with SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 13 (Climate Action), driving a resilient and low-carbon built environment.
