Corinex is a global leader in broadband over power lines (BPL)-based solutions that enable real-time visibility and flexibility in low-voltage electricity grids. Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, Corinex accelerates the integration of decentralized low-carbon technologies (LCTs) by transforming traditional energy infrastructure into smart, software-driven networks. Its technology allows for high-speed data communication, edge computing, and dynamic load balancing across the grid—critical features for modernizing distribution systems in the face of growing renewables integration and electrification demands. Corinex is currently rolling out its solutions across key European markets, such as Germany, Spain, and the U.K.
Suma Capital, through its SC Net Zero Ventures fund, has partnered with Corinex to support its global expansion and contribute to the mass roll-out of its intelligent grid solutions. The focus is on scaling the deployment of its real-time control technologies and enhancing the resilience, security, and flexibility of energy systems. By helping to unlock latent capacity in existing infrastructure, we aim to facilitate the integration of renewables and mass adoption of low carbon technologies in a cost-effective and scalable way.
Corinex directly contributes to the decarbonization of the energy sector by increasing the capacity and efficiency of distribution grids without costly overhauls. Its solutions play a key role in enabling the energy transition, particularly in urban and industrial environments where electrification is accelerating. The company supports SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 13 (Climate Action), driving sustainable progress through technological innovation.
