Suma Capital has led the first institutional financing round of Landatu Solar S.L., an innovative company specializing in solutions for solar photovoltaic energy. Through its SC Ventures investment strategy, Suma Capital has added Landatu to its portfolio, supporting the company’s growth and international expansion in a key sector for sustainability and decarbonization.
Landatu Solar has developed and patented a disruptive support system that optimizes the transport, installation, and maintenance of solar panels, along with a unique software solution for the design of floating solar plants.
This funding round, which marks Suma Capital’s entry into Landatu Solar’s shareholding, will enable the company to relocate its production to the national level, thus reducing costs and lead times, improving product quality, and enhancing the sustainability of its operations.
Furthermore, Landatu Solar will accelerate the development of new solutions, including the evolution of its ‘Lamaru’ system, the launch of the ‘Landblock Aquarack’ water deflector, and the first pilot projects of offshore floating solar power.
