Berria Bikes is entering a new phase of growth, with 60% of sales coming from international markets and a clear focus on the Iberian Peninsula

The Spanish company Berria Bikes, which specializes in custom and high-performance bicycles and is headquartered in Villarrobledo (Albacete), has completed a comprehensive transformation process and is embarking on a new phase of solid and sustainable growth, with the backing of financial institutions and its shareholders, notably Suma Capital. The company enters this new phase as a more professional organization, better prepared to compete in a now-stabilized global market, having gained greater agility, service quality, and execution capabilities to support the brand’s international growth.

Berria Bikes, which closed the last fiscal year with an 18% increase in revenue (July 2025–June 2026), has focused on professionalizing the organization, improving operational efficiency, optimizing inventory, enhancing processes and planning, and strengthening its business model. As a result of these developments, the company—founded and led by the Spanish-Swiss former professional cyclist David Vitoria—has achieved significant international sales growth, which now accounts for more than 60% of revenue, and has established a strong presence in Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. In fact, over the past year, the company has recorded double-digit growth in key markets such as Italy—which now accounts for more than 21% of sales and has grown by 112%—and France, which accounts for nearly 18% of sales and has seen a 37% increase.

This international consolidation is also supported by the brand’s positioning in high-demand categories. As a result, Berria Bikes ranks among the leading brands in the gravel segment, placing in the top 3 according to the AMBE (Spanish Association of Bicycle Brands) ranking.

“We’ve taken advantage of the industry’s most challenging period to transform ourselves from within. Today, we’re a stronger, more efficient company that’s poised for growth, with operations that allow us to plan better, serve our customers better, and keep pace with demand in our international markets,” says David Vitoria, the company’s CEO and founder.

Support from Its Main Investor, Suma Capital

Throughout its transformation and in this new phase, Berria Bikes has had the support of Suma Capital as a strategic partner. Beyond financial backing, Suma Capital’s guidance has been key to the company’s professionalization, the strengthening of corporate governance, and the development of a new strategic plan aimed at orderly growth, with a focus on efficiency, branding, international expansion, and profitability.

“At Suma Capital, we continue to have confidence in the Berria Bikes team and in the business plan outlined for this new phase. The backing from financial institutions and shareholders strengthens the foundation for the company to continue advancing in its growth, supported by more efficient management, a more focused product offering, and an increasingly significant international presence,” explains David Arroyo, partner at Suma Capital.

Vitoria adds: “Having partners like Suma Capital has allowed us to accelerate our professionalization, strengthen our management capabilities, and build a clear roadmap for sustainable growth in a market that has now returned to normal.”

A Portfolio Better Aligned with Demand

In this new cycle, the company’s evolution is also reflected in its product focus. At this stage, gravel and road bikes are gaining prominence, now accounting for 70% of the portfolio’s new developments; e-bikes will represent 20% of the offerings; and mountain bikes will make up 10% of the total products in its portfolio. Specifically, the brand is driving one of the fastest-growing segments within the cycling market—Fast Gravel—with its new Naii BR and Naii X bikes. At the same time, it remains committed to road bikes with one of its top-selling lines, the Belador, which has established itself as one of the company’s major sales drivers. As for e-bikes, the Nexxen MTB and Mistral Road stand out, both featuring the Avinox system.

“This phase isn’t about expanding our catalog, but about competing more effectively. That’s why we’ve designed a portfolio more focused on current market needs, and a more robust operation allows us to deliver greater availability, inventory turnover, and service levels—and, as a result, grow on a solid foundation,” emphasizes David Vitoria.

New Partnership Program with the IBD Channel

Iberia remains a strategic partner for the premium bicycle brand. To strengthen this relationship, the company is developing a new partnership program that will allow it to reinforce its relationship and reach with independent bike dealers (IBD).

“For us, it’s essential to offer independent stores ongoing support—not only to ensure a steady supply of bicycles and parts, but also to drive qualified traffic to them from the brand. We want to build a solid and stable network that allows us to grow alongside the specialized channel and maintain our market reach in key markets for us, such as Spain and Portugal, where we already have a strong presence,” notes the CEO of Berria Bikes.

With this transformation complete, Berria Bikes is entering a new phase as a more professional, more international, and better-prepared company to compete. The company aims to consolidate sustained growth, supported by more efficient operational execution, a strengthened commercial strategy, and a product focus aligned with global demand for high performance.

The Spanish company, which specializes in high-performance bicycles and is led by former professional cyclist David Vitoria, has achieved an 18% increase in revenue (July 2025–June 2026) and is seeking to expand its market reach in the Iberian market through a new partnership program with independent bicycle retailers.

In this way, the company is completing a process of business transformation and embarking on a new phase of growth in a market that has now stabilized, with the backing of Suma Capital, which has confidence in the Berria Bikes team and its well-defined business plan.

In this new phase, the development of high-performance gravel and road bikes will take center stage at the company, accounting for 70% of its product portfolio.
