Bohr Energie is a French company based in Toulouse specialising in the aggregation, optimisation and management of distributed renewable energy and flexible assets. As an independent aggregator, the company helps solar, wind and hydro producers to participate in electricity markets, optimize the monetization of their assets, and manage the growing complexity associated with forecasting, balancing, real-time operation and exposure to market signals.
Its proprietary platform combines software, AI and production forecasting with market analysis and real-time operations. Producers can monitor their assets, manage their exposure to electricity prices and optimise revenues. At the time of the investment announcement in July 2026, Bohr Energie managed more than 170 assets, aiming to manage 1 GW by the end of the year.
Through SC Venture, we support Bohr Energie at the Scale-ups stage. In 2026, Suma Capital led its EUR 10 million Series A through SC Net Zero Ventures. The shared focus is to help producers manage increasingly complex electricity markets and integrate distributed renewable generation more efficiently.
The investment will support further development of the technology platform and team, while strengthening the company’s position in France. It will also help accelerate international expansion, with Spain and Italy identified as priority markets. Suma Capital will support this growth through its European platform.
Bohr Energie addresses one of the structural challenges of the energy transition: efficiently integrating an increasingly distributed renewable generation that is exposed to market signals.Forecasting and real-time asset management enable producers to respond to changing market conditions and make better use of the flexibility available across their portfolios.
By facilitating the integration of distributed renewables and batteries, its approach supports a more efficient, stable and flexible electricity system and the transition towards lower-carbon power generation.
