SC Net Zero Ventures closes its first €5 million investment in V2C, a leading electric vehicle charging infrastructure company

The investment reflects the commitment to decarbonization in industry and transportation.

SC Net Zero Ventures, the Climate Tech fund managed by Suma Capital that launched with the support of Repsol as anchor investor, has closed its first investment for an amount of €5 million in V2C, a Spanish company pioneer in the manufacture of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. The operation is carried out in co-investment with Mutua Madrileña, which just a year ago led a previous investment in V2C for an amount of 4 million euros.

The Valencian company has an ecosystem of charging solutions for residential use and fast and semi-fast for other environments. With a solid deployment in the Iberian Peninsula and in full expansion towards other European markets, V2C is consolidating its position as a key player in the transition towards a more sustainable transport.

The capital injection will allow V2C to accelerate its expansion and consolidate its presence in strategic European markets, driving the adoption of electric vehicles, a key step towards the reduction of emissions in transportation, an approach fully aligned with SC Net Zero Ventures’ mission.

Thus, with a first closing of €125 million and the forecast to reach €150 million by the end of the year, the fund will continue to invest in essential sectors such as industry and transportation, betting on innovative companies focused on the energy transition in the scaling phase.

Natalia Ruiz, Partner at Suma Capital and head of SC Net Zero Ventures: “We are proud to make our first investment in a company that is transforming transportation towards a more sustainable future. This is a significant step in our mission to foster decarbonization through low carbon footprint solutions.”

With this investment, SC Net Zero Ventures strengthens its commitment to lead the transition to a cleaner economy by investing in companies that promote sustainability and technological innovation, thus generating a positive environmental impact.
