At a glance

Set of energy efficiency projects for public and private clients promoted and implemented by Cactus Energy Services. The main measures implemented consist of the improvement of public lighting, air conditioning and energy management to reduce the energy consumption of customers. A total of 29 contracts were signed. The projects promote a more efficient use of energy, and over their lifetime approximately 61,500 tonnes less CO2 eq are emitted into the atmosphere, consuming on average 44% less.

Impact

What

Energy efficiency measures in domestic, commercial and industrial buildings generate significant energy savings and reduce energy costs by installing improvements such as LED lighting, air conditioning and photovoltaic panels.

Who

The implementation of energy efficiency measures in buildings reduces energy consumption, controls costs for owners and users, mitigates the impact of rising energy prices and promotes less dependence on fossil fuels, reduced emissions and improved air quality, benefiting both owners/users and society.

How much

The socio-environmental impact resulted in 30,900 MWh/year avoided, 6,900 tonnes of CO2eq/year avoided and 44% energy savings.

Core SDGs

Risks

The implementation of energy efficiency solutions significantly reduces emissions, but some solutions rely on fossil fuels and may be constrained in the future due to environmental regulations and taxes. The environmental benefits of electricity efficiency measures depend on the evolution of the electricity mix towards renewable sources.
