Creation of a platform for energy efficiency projects with commercial, industrial and public clients. Some of the solutions include the transformation of lighting, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems and self-supply energy installations. The platform includes two SPVs in the hands of the respective technical partners: Cactus Sustainable Development, focused on the public sector, and Stratenergy Investments, focused on the industrial sector.
By using energy more efficiently, and therefore consuming less, consumers can reduce their energy bills, help protect the environment, mitigate climate change, reduce dependence on external oil and gas suppliers and support sustainable economic growth. To achieve these benefits, it is necessary to improve energy efficiency along the entire energy chain, from production to final consumption.
The EU has set a target of 32.5% improvement in energy efficiency by 2030 compared to 2007 levels.
Energy efficiency measures in domestic, commercial and industrial buildings generate significant energy savings and reduce energy costs by installing improvements such as LED lighting, air conditioning and photovoltaic panels.
The implementation of energy efficiency measures in buildings reduces energy consumption, controls costs for owners and users, mitigates the impact of rising energy prices and promotes less dependence on fossil fuels, reduced emissions and improved air quality, benefiting both owners/users and society.
The implementation of energy efficiency measures saved 29,000 MWh per year, exceeding the EU target of 30%, with an estimated lifetime of 4 to 15 years. The positive effects will be maintained and amplified with additional efficiency measures. 0.06 million tonnes of CO2e emissions are avoided.
The implementation of energy efficiency solutions significantly reduces emissions, but some solutions rely on fossil fuels and may be constrained in the future due to environmental regulations and taxes. The environmental benefits of electricity efficiency measures depend on the evolution of the electricity mix towards renewable sources.
